Foundations of Health Science is a one-credit foundational course that provides students with the opportunity to become
competent healthcare workers. Integrated academics combined with healthcare knowledge and skills provide the framework
for a strong healthcare delivery system in the twenty-first century. Foundations of Health Science is the prerequisite
course for all other courses in the Health Science pathway. This is a full semester course.
Therapeutic Services is a one-credit course that teaches students of rapid changes in business and industry to prepare
them for further learning in health career opportunities. Students are introduced to careers in therapeutic services, such
as nursing, medicine, physical therapist, surgical technologist, emergency medicine and many others. This is a full semester
course.
Health Explorations is designed for students in middle school to help improve communication skills, discover
how valuable work can be, improve leadership skills, explore careers, and learn basic employability skills. Students will
also become familiar with the history of health care and the importance of wellness. This is a full semester course.
